Re: List of scenario types

Warlord tourney - First round is 1v1 where the winner becomes the leader of the defeated. Next round is 2v2, and the loosing team again falls under the command of the winner. Then 4v4, 8v8, 16v16, etc . . . until one final mass battle. It's a fun way to mix up the traditional established command st...

Looking for Knights Hospitallers

Are there any active households of the Order of the Knights Hospitallers in the SCA (other than Ansteorra)?
I would like to get in touch with them.

Reading list (articles)

What is in your list of articles (sports psychology, pysiology, training, etc) for improving one's fighting? Books, would be ok, too, but I'd prefer to see other material as well.

Thanks!

How were rapiers carried in period?

I'm attempting to guide a new SCAdian who wants to make a gift for a local noble. He would like to build a case/box/container in which to carry 2 rapiers and a dagger.

Other than a scabbard, how would swords have been carried or transported?

Thanks in advance,

I've had great luck finding free leather couches on Craigslist. The leather isn't pretty looking, but you're making armor and you can cover it. Often, though, the back of the couch is pristine.

I've tried all kinds of combinations of search terms, but I can't find any link to the graphs of armor by decade. It was a color bar graph about foot armor, shins, thighs, body and helms.

Could someone help me with a link?

Thanks!

<SNIP> What size basket hilt do your newbies need? Do Whitney punches get dull?

I have a used Whitney Roper punch (not a knock off) and after putting 3 holes in 30 pieces of .050 stainless steel (410) it's getting nearly impossible to punch through.

Do Whitney punches get dull?

Other than buy a new 1/8" set is there anything I can do?

Thanks.

True, lining it would increase the efficiency, but as is it got the piece bright orange within 1-2 minutes.
