Hello
Can’t remember the name of the place were you can get pdf files for various armor projects. A few years back I bought the one for a valsgarde helmet but have lost the file and want to but that one again as well as some others. If anyone know who I am talking about could you post link. Thanks

roman shoulder armor
Was wondering if anyone had made the shoulder armor that goes with either the lorica segmetata or the muslced curiass. I would like to make a set to go with my curiass and just needed help in either finding a pattern or advice on coming up with a similiar pattern on my own. Thanks

I absolutely love your work Craig and this CoP is just another example of great armor you have made. The best part about it is that with everything you make and show here there is a pattern to go along with it so aspiring armorers like myself can use or draw reference from. Thanks and I look forward...

Re: What would be the best way to assemble a long scale cuir
I used banding steel to make my scales. I used the larger stuff 1 1/4" wide and cut to 1.75" long. Made a jig so i could shape them and the another so i could drill out the hole. You could either use them with the black paint on them or remove it which comes off easy if you use a maroon surface prep...

That is amazing work. Seeing the inside and how the plates are layed out is extremely helpful. It is also interesting to see the sliding rivets, that would be on the outer with the two leather straps in mid and front right? Never hurts to ask questions I was always told.

Invest in some premade rings, saves you a bunch of time and frustration. Ice Falcon has some reasonably priced rings and rivets.

Oddvarr, thanks for the links for the plates but alas I am a poor hobby armourer so I will have to make my own plates. Yes will be time consuming but I really enjoy the work in making the plates, besides it gets me out of the house with the screaming kids and the wife's honey do list. I have some 5o...
