I'd buy a set if they were in my size. I'm only a ladies size 6, but the ball of my foot is about 4" across. To get enough width I'd have to buy the Revival Turn Shoes in a men's size 13. A friend pointed out that I could then put thrusting tips on them and have extra weapons. Doing these in kits so...

Well, like I said above I'm in Meridies. The ages of the kids are also in my first post. The 6yo is almost 7, so he'll be able to start soon. The standards can be found at: www.meridies.org/marshal/youth_fighter_program1105.doc The list is too long to paste in here. If folks have stuff they'd like t...

WTB: Youth Combat gear, esp second hand

I've got three sons and want to get them into gear. They are 11, 8 and 6. The 6yo is a little young, but I think I'll at least make him a few bits so he can strut around in them. I'm using the llamelar plates I made for myself and now don't want for myself to make them breastplates. We've got leathe...

Ohhh, yes, there are some wonderful options. Persia and that region had and still have these wonderful outfits. You get to wear loose comfy pants under a prett flattering flowy dress, or sometimes something a bit more tailored. There has never at any time been anything invented for women to wear bet...

I think I can get this right. The absolute minimum is 16 gauge, but 14 is better. If it's something that overlaps like llamellar, then you could go lighter because you'd have two thicknesses, but you'd have to be sure to overlap enough. Marshalls and rules vary some from Kingdom to Kingdom, but I th...

The bible was written in three languages at least, originally. . You're close. You've got the correct number of languages, and two of the three languages you mention are correct. It was written in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek. It's possible there are other languages as well. The book of Job is really ...

Oh, I'm not worried about the brim falling off. I am sure Matt's workmanship is more than up to the task. I really like the way this one looks. It's obviously not mass produced in a factory, or so glossy that it is obviously modern. It's just right. What I don't like about the brim is that it makes ...

It's gorgeous. It's exactly what I'd like to wear, except that with all that brim, I'd be an even easier target. I suppose the good side of that would be that getting hit in the head hurts less than getting hit on the other end. If I were a better fighter, with more of a chance of surviving past the...

I would like to know a little bit more about the trigger mechanism on the crossbows Stonekeep sells. Most of the ones I have seen in art or museums are from the early periods. When I get some, they'll be wool. I'd like to make my own, but realistically it's not happening anytime soon. Wool has some mild antibacterial properties, and, well, feet...you know....
