Re: Will be taking new orders soon this is the wishlist thre
A pair nice dished shield boss'. Nothing fancy, just a standard edge. Preferred to be in brushed stainless (or anything non-mirrored or too reflective). 7" or so diameter... standard depth.

Re: Wedge with no ridge?
I guess I got lucky when I ordered from them. I needed two sleeves for breakdown sidewall beams. But I wouldn't recommend getting their ridge sleeves anyways since they are very thin and the quality doesn't seem to be very good, but they do for now... I would honestly go with Panther's ridge pole sl...

Re: Everyday questions (Norse)
I've always wrapped mine from the ankle upwards and always use hooks. Even with hooks I've found that they slip if I don't wrap them a certain way. That way is to follow the natural contour of your leg as you wrap upwards. I find that the spiral starts to distort when I reach my lower calf, which le...

Re: Making inkle woven viking leg wraps?
My gut feeling says that inkle woven strips wouldn't have enough stretch to fit around your calves very smoothly (I see the stretch Niall warns about as a good thing, it helps them follow the curves of your calves better). But I've seen people wear inkle woven winingas, so I know it can work (examp...

With a name like Shawn Patrick O'Hara, you grow up with a lot of Irish heritage being thrown at you. I always new I would do an Irish persona if to do nothing more than learn about my medieval ancestors. I originally chose a 1290 because of the conflict with England and the possibility of wearing a ...

I cannot speak for Otto in regards to his queue, or how accurately he sticks to it, but my squire brother's mid-July order came last Thursday. The quality of the piece was pretty good, so when/if the rest of the orders make it out, at least it doesn't appear that the quality will be affected. My .02...

I found hockey girdles to be a bit too bulky. Some people I've talked to say they bind up, some have no problems. I went with these myself. I took out the large thigh pads, traced the outline on some 14 oz. leather, and put the pad and leather back in place.

Who sells a shield boss this size?
Mistake #1: Measure all lengths after removal of old hardware. Mistake #2: Examine all hardware after removal. Mistake #3: Cut hole in new blank after making sure old hardware is still usable. The long and short: I have a scalloped edge shield boss with a stress fracture, nearly to the point of fail...
