Greetings, Well, as I have had it explained to me there are three major "cards" involved in any fight. 1. Tempo- who controls it? Are there change ups? Can you start a pattern, then change it. Better yet see what pattern your opponant is establishing then change it for them. 2. Range- This can be in...

Greetings, I have been fighting with a square shield for about a year and a half. First I had a 20" square, and I liked it alot. I spent alot of time on my knees though, so I decided to increase it to a 22" and while I still end up on my knees often, not nearly as often. I have found that it is very...

I have mine as a center grip, I like it alot. I have it positioned like a diamond, seems to have better coverage with a little less movement. It is a highly mobile shield though, mine is 22" square.

I shall try not to maintain that stereotype of the dissatified Westie. I seem to remember something about when in Rome, you should do what the Midrealm marshals say and not complain because it is more fun to fight than to bitch about it.

So all the thrust has to do is to make contact with your face, no matter how light? I am coming from the experences that is must be at least a little solid and give that satifying pop(non audible of course, just mour than a touch though). Is this the Positive force you were talking about?

With a short sword with a basket hilt more weight needs to be added to the tip. Such as a thrusting tip( should be on a short sword anyway in my opinion), or a strip of leather or nylon on the edge of the sword from just below the sweet spot up around the tip and down the back blade about 3-4inches....
