Never thought to make one without a backing. I plan to use galvinized ceiling washers that are hex shaped. What did you use for the cord? I plan to use linen or hemp.

Funny I just emailed david brown book company to see if they had any damaged copies too, haha. Great minds think alike. At least we have some folks interested in doing tudor.

They did exist in 1320s. Whether or not your persona would have them depends on your social status, also what you plan to do with them. If you plan to do alot of fighting in the SCA or with steel I would recomend them for safety, but probably no gloves would be the most common hand protection for th...

No Still doing hussite. We were talking about Gallowglass at the clontarf event. I am doing this for Jeff Miller. I don't think I'll make it past kern. We are trying to stur something up with Gardners like the O'Neil rebellion.

This book has a bunch of original spanish pictures of dress from the 1520-30's.

"Authentic Everyday Dress of the Renaissance All 154 Plates from the Trachtenbuch" by Christoph Weiditz.

You should be able to find it for not that much money.
