Preventing aluminum Shields from bending or warping
Hi all! I've had a few shields start to bend or warp in the zones that they are taking hits (must often top left from flat snaps, and tail of the kite from leg shots). I try to use shields with welded edges so I don't need to tape trim lock on. The extra edge does help but it's not great. My blanks ...

I was only considering the ease of fabrication! But, I don't think there is much mass involved in fencing weapons and C&T, but that is a fairly uneducated opinion...

So then 21/20g spring may be good enough for a fencing helm?
In sca heavy id use 20 or 22g for lam, legs and arms any day. For this in mostly interested in the helm for fencing and cut and thrust.
