I had to read Matt's to know where to look, sorry but I just love PB's Pit he's so cool. So, I really like William's press, especially since you could take a couple of Bungee straps or the like and put it up and out of the way, like the pipe clamps! Thanks guys, now I know what to try when I get to ...

Curiosity is getting the better of me, since I'll have to wait on making a press and the tree closest to my house, is an 8" dia palm tree.

+1 on the weight for butted. I made one took the better part of a year to make. Weight 42 pounds roughly. Have I had to repair it, yes, yes I have. The only time I got hit and I felt it was when I didn't wear my gambeson, just a tunic.
Just my two cents

Heater curvature

Alright.
SO for the past few days I've been trying to find something online to show me how to curve a heater. Maybe I missed something or just looking in the wrong place. Someone point me in the right direction please.

I too would have to second Rayner. I bought one after it was suggested that I get a little more color in my kit. I got a large, 5'11" 185 or so. It's a little long in the sleeve but I really have no problem with that. As far as the arm movement, it's great! I haven't had any issues with breastplate ...

Hey Andrew,
How well does the mixture work? And do you keep the sprig of Rosemary in the mix while using it? Just curious.

Believe me, We wish we had gotten more practice in, but I definitly say being busy during deployment makes it fly by. Ah, I miss being on a Carrier!

13 years in the Navy and this will be my first deployment on a ship. Just out of curiosity, what type of ship are you on? Last ship deployment (07-08) we had three fighters on board (two nukes and myself) we were able to get the Chain of command to by off and approve us having a practice. Of course...

If it is any help. There is from my understanding a strictly rapier group with loaner gear that converge on the boardwalk at KAF. I never did make it over there from where I was (Leatherneck) but a couple of my guys who got deployed to the Army did see them practice there a few times. Hope this helps

Thank you very much for the thread. I was trying to find something on the AA, didn't think about using blanket padding though. Edward, the Chausses you have, the knee padding the only padding? Gamboised Cuisse or Chausses, which would you do??

Okay so I'm looking for advice, help or constructive criticism. I know about the gamboised cuisse, but what about a gamboised chausses? Was there ever such a thing or would that fall under the Anachronism part of the SCA? I've been thinking about this for a while now, and really haven't found anythi...
