I tried a pair on 2 years ago and had the same problem as Sir Christian (the German) with the additional issue of the thigh being too small as well.
Shop Rat and Jocelyn both got pairs this year. they look great.

Nice work Sean! I currently use a Ikea bed. It is not made for repeat assemble/disassemble - so I too have a bed project on the back burner. What I did like and I see you have a variant, is the slat design for the mattress support. I have the Queen Malm and the Midbeam Support rail is ingenious. I h...

Sorry for my incorrect assumption.
Still, I continue to strive for a better finished look.

Chris, a class at Pennsic would be awesome. I was fortunate to tour your villa last year. I was amazed at some of the details that were subtle yet without them something would not have looked correct. You explained the method you used to make the floor - luan with routed lines and creative staining....

[quote]- HOCKEY GLOVES. There is a knight of my acquaintance who has great garb, good armor, a fine looking shield, wears boots and looks really, really good… except that he wears a modern hockey glove on the inside of his shield. It has a bright red stripe and the palm is all white, so whenever he ...

Glaukos, I have a simular garment in appearance. I choose not to have the padding inserted because of heat too. I had my Fiance' sew in "faux" quilting lines so that it would look simular. Here are some shots I know you will find familar (Thanks to Ursus) : This is the second version; 7.1oz linen - ...

If those where gleaned from Master Terafon's site then it is the design he and Master Daffyd ap Gwystl developed years ago in Atlantia. I made one set for the Canton of Brockore Abbey.
These go together quick and fast and make a great Shire/Barony project.

Funny that you ask this question. As a young lad in the SCA back around 1988-90 I mad a statement that I latter regretted. What I said was " I wish that there was something more cool to wear rather then the "dish-towel" favor everyone seems to wear." I was qouted to have hated to wear favors. Fourtu...

To Vebrand, #1. I hope your Spanish is good. #2. I pray you choose to live south of Goulds (the hood) and north of Florida City. #3. Prepare to wear sweaters when its 65 or less out - I didnt believe the locals but after 6 months I acclimated. It is hot and humid ind Dade Co. #4. The Jupiter area is...
