Hell, we had ..what..13-14 in a single match? That's the first time I've ever seen a 45 minute match in Crown List

Re: Gleann Abhann fall crown list.
We also tend to make up for the lower numbers by thinking up grueling tourney formats. Double elimination best 2 out of 3 each round is generally the easiest of the bunch. Who remembers "Win by two"? I think that's the only time I've ever lost eight fights in order to get knocked out of a tourney in...

James is due. Caillin and Loric are always hanging around at the end, either can beat James. Depends a lot on who's fighting at the top of their game on the day. But watch out for Chip. He lives up there in the middle of nowhere and hardly anybody has seen him fight much. When he's hot he is an abso...

In your part of the world, I'd say Duke Kane. I loooooove me some Kane. But he doesn't fight much anymore unless it's a war. If you want to watch someone get insane amounts of kills on a battlefield by being in the right place at the right time - he's your man. But you'll only see him in a tourney ...

Don't know how good at advice I can be on this as we're just learning the ropes ourselves, but here's what I've discovered after 7 months in office: Get out and talk to people. Everyone you can. Don't let small disagreements and frictions sit. Be proactive with your problems solving - not everyone w...

Re: 2" Mandrake tips suck and you all know it
I once had the corner of my aluminum heater come into my grill and miss my eye by a smidge due to a freak, and repeatable, occurrence. Shall we now ban aluminum heaters because I was almost blinded by them once 10 years ago? Dunno - is your shield designed to deliberately strike someone in the face...

How long have the tips been out? 10 years? More? And they should be banned because something happened once, that probably can't be replicated on purpose? Please forgive my obviously trolling question: What is an acceptable level of risk? What we have is a tip design that - in a degraded condition w...

I've been sort of slow to respond on this thread, but I've got good reason... See, every time I pick against Uther, he hears about it or somebody reads it to him and he goes out and proves me wrong and then smiles that little Uther smile and lets me know about it. I tired of that. However...I really...

-Also I don't like your sword arm position for most of the fight. It is down around the bottom of your chin/side of your head and not really doing a whole lot. Commit to a specific sword guard position. i.e. high front guard, classic old castle, a frame. you have a difficult offense from your curre...

Are there Kingdoms where that's a thing? How about "If your calibration can't be controlled we pull your card."? That seems reasonable to me. Maybe a separate authorization for big rattan weapons? Re: My fighting sucks. Help.
You are fighting with the a-frame style of having your sword infront of you. Combined with the fact that you don't use your hips much your blows rely on your arm strength. It is my assumption that this is probably why you charge up your shots before throwing them. With better use of your entire bod...

I'm no longer in Meridies, nor have I spoken with their EM directly. I did have some conversations with a couple of their marshals at Gulf Wars, so I think I see where this came from. I don't know how many injuries or their severity, but I do know they had them and at least one was to a very skilled...

So what this is, is : The Meridian tendency towards being a whiney field pussy has infected their EM's office? Uncool, man. You're better than that. I think it will be either Alfrikr or Swete that gets to challenge first. Alfrikr is a big, hard-hitting kid coming down out o' the hills. Not too many people down south have seen him before. It's nice to see him travel and get some exposure.

Until DA shows up, here's an estimation from the Dark Knight (no - not that one): Count Ashi: 5-2 Sir James: 4-1 Earl Loric: 6-1 Viscount Caillin: 10-1 THL Lorccan: 20-1 someone else: 50-1 Caedmon That looks about right. I played baseball at a fairly high level as a young man. I would say nearly half of the players at college level and up were cross-dominant. It is a great advantage in hitting. Sadly, I'm typical. I've got reflexes like a weasel and at one time had a cannon for an arm, so they made me a catcher. But...
