if you can't afford Illustrator try http://www.inkscape.org/ It is an opensource vector (svg) art package. For heraldry once you get used to it it is very easy to create lot's of variations on a theme and scale, change colours etc. Once you get used to it it really is quite quick and there is a lot ...

Why not just give page number and image location then any one that wants to follow along can go and buy the book :-) and...

Trying to identify an image

There is a wine label here http://www.gabbiano.com/gabbiano/section/label.html

I am pretty sure that I have seen the original for this knight in an ms that was link from this site at some point. Does any one have any idea where it might be or have link for it?

Thanks in advance,
Dan.

Met some of the ARMA people in Columbus - not horribly impressed. Their techincal skills might have been just fine, but I wouldn't know based on the reception I got... ARMA person: "You're one of THEM, right? We're not interested in wasting our time with people like you." Mind you, all I said was, ...

just a caveat up front, I am not an armouring type. I would really go out and get TOMAR as suggested above if nothing else it should provide you with a good reference on techniques. I have a copy and I don't even intent to make armour. Also have a look for videos around here by Eric Dube. He seems t...

Do you have any information about where it is? when it dates from etc?

Cheers,
