You're trying to put thrusting tips (or equivalent) on your crossguard? Wouldn't that violate the "handle perpendicular to the thrust" rules?

I found the reference to "frankincense" after I posted the question. So basically it's clarified (melted and filtered) evergreen sap that he uses as a cement. I've tried that in the past and found it to be extremely brittle, especially if it's cold out. I've had good results adding a bit of beeswax ...

Kult of Athena sells Grozer bows. Made in Hungary and top notch in my experience.

That said, I bought two Chinese-made horse bows off of ebay a few years ago for $50 a pop that are still going strong.
