Are these the same poles you are talking about? I use them in the group I fight with. They are fiberglass...and black...and a lot cheaper.

I ordered something from him as well. Never got it, been probably a year or more now. Good luck in trying to get anything owed by this individual. He actually got mad at me for pointing him out to some local SCA officials. He was nice and accomodating when they were being copied on the email corresp...

*BUMP* for Morid's sake. This is not for SCA. He needs his entire back covered, not just his spine.

A CoP similar to what Mad Matt offers would be ideal. I have one and I love it. I would recommend Matt but he may be too busy and Morid wants this soon.

chinstrap help

I have never been able to make a comfortable chinstrap for my helms. How do you make yours? Period or not - doesnt matter to me. I just want something that's comfortable and that will keep my helmet stable on my head. Any help would be appreciated. Pics would be good.

T-Bob, Glad I could be of help. I did a Google search on copper roofing nails and came up with a few hits. Things are a bit expensive around here, so I paid 7 bux per box. Many sources online sell them for much less but you will prolly have to pay shipping. Best bet is to find a roofing supply store...

Sorry, I should have included all of the details. They are 1-1/2" GRIP-RITE FAS'NERS. You may or may not need washers (i used em just to be safe) You will also need some end nips/end cutting pliers. I'm not sure what the smallest size nail that is available is but I bought what was available. You do...

I'm not 100% sure but I think it is because WD-40 has water in it. Water would make the metal rust.

Lamellar Plates for trade

The group I fight with does not allow for steel less than 18gauge. I thought I could get away with 20gauge stainless (Pheylin Quinn's plates) but that is not the case. I have 500 plates that I would like to trade for some torso armor. These plates are very nice, many on the Archive can vouch for the...

There is already a game based on the works of Tolkien. It is called Dagorhir and it's very likely there is a chapter near you. Check out their website www.dagorhir.com .

Would you say 18g is thicker than 20g by a millimeter? Less? Could somebody not used to dealing with steel on a regular basis be able to eyeball the difference?
