recommendation for an armoury where to get Shovel Greaves

Like the title says, looking to buy shovel greaves preferably leather or mild steel. Can you recommend an armourer/craftsman?

Thanks

Ghostpig, I was looking at all the armour porn in this thread, well drooling is more acurate. And I had a question regarding the Hurin helm you made.

How much would you charge for something like that and would you make one again.

Thanks

Just Back from Winter War (Northern Outpos, East)

Just got back from this event, having a scotch to relax a very tired body. I wanted to thank Olaf Haraldson for organising a GREAT event! Tons of fun, relax atmosphere, fun battles. Just a hoot of an event. My first fighting event in 5 years and it was great. Funnily it was the Canadians against the...

Ok just found out that our very own Sir Sarnac made it to the final two against Sir Edward the Red but was ultimately defeated. Would've been great to see a second reign for this gentleman. Another member of the AA was in the list: Tarquin Bjornsson, don't know how well he fared. Lord Allan MacLeod

Aha! I hadn't thought of that point vertical or horizontal grip. Almost thought it was evident to set it up as vertical because it is a more natural posture for the hand/wrist. But maybe I'm overlooking something, does anybody use a horizontal grip?

What size for a center grip oval?

I want to build a center grip oval out of plywood and I was wondering what is a common size or how to size it.

Thanks

Well I won't be at Winter War it seems. I got elbowed in the face playing soccer. Nothing broken but a very sore jaw and I couple of very painful cuts on the tongue. I can barely speak because of the swelling, so I'm taking it easy. Have fun! BTW I've been hurt more often playing soccer than fighti...

I've been wondering myself how come the Wombat's site had a banner on the AA. We should at the very least have a warning of some kind. I'm of medium build 5.11 175lbs, but I really like the "Jump in your shorts" type of fighting as InsaneIrish would put it However I find that going toe-toe with bulkier fighters I get pushed back a lot. So do you think body type/size has alot of influence on the type of fighting you do or is it more...

Your sword of course! What were you thiniking? Seriously we had this discussion the other day at fighter practice, and I thought it could make a good discussion. Okay I built my first sword without a basket hilt, it has a butt ugly garden hose hilt until I get the funds to get a proper hilt and pommel.
