I suggest you take a look at this website which focuses on home workouts: http://www.scoobysworkshop.com/index.htm In particular: http://www.scoobysworkshop.com/schedbeginning.htm Which is a workout that can be done with minimal equipment, and is a solid full body workout. I know you aren't worrying...

It depends on what style of helmet it is.

For a heavily dished helm top like a bascinet, 12 ga. For the dished panels of a spangen helm, 14 ga is fine IMO.

What style of helmet are you getting?

I suggest playing around with some clip art. Colour in the charges, and look for colours on colours, and metals on metals. One of the things with heraldry is that sometime less is more. The fewer things there are on the device, the more those things that are there stand out. Print out your clip art ...

Has anyone tried using pewter instead of a lead block?

I have lots of pewter kicking around, but no lead. One of these days I'll have time for a project where a block will be handy and it'd be nice to know I don't have to mail order lead for it.

My biggest gripe with touch kills on the face is that it becomes a calibration that requires you to see the shot. I wear a closed face helmet. Like all helmets there is a bit of wobble, I can brush my helmet with a gauntlet when I am blocking, and there is sometimes a little interplay between my gor...

Is Tentsmiths a solid company? Good quality, etc? I'm happy with the round I got from them. They were very pleasant to deal with. (I got the midi, which is fine for a single short person with stuff. I hadn't planned on the 75 lbs of dog, but there is still enough floor space left to manage.) Bartok

I made mine on the bias, like my hosen. They fit nice and closely, bending well (they don't need holes or slits behind the knee.) Then I lost 25 lbs...
