I have used waxed leather Armour on many occasions in the heat in LV and around here. This I can tell you, the wax will not run, it will not ruin the leather, it cools rigid but with a bit of flex. To reshape it you need to heat it up at around 120 to soften, reshape and let coo. I still have a pair...
