I bought a block from Lee Valley about 8 years ago, it was $40ish, iirc...about 12" x 6" x 6"...it was nice with no inclusions, carved well ( I was making pewter casting molds from it). Definitely check them out.

I have them in stock in HDPE plastic; these look a lot like shiny black leather, or you can scuff them up and they look like dull black leather. Very light, protective, rust and weather proof :)

Re: Covering the nasty "P Word"?

I combine spray adhesive with speed rivets. The spray adhesive keeps the fabric from shifting too much, and the speed rivets keep it together in humid environments and makes it look better! What He said ^^ I used 3M spray adhesive and double capped speed rivets for this: Here's a pic of one I did l...

Ty guys, I'll have to make some faulds for my corrazina. Corrazina faulds vs tassets

So...as I've read in the past and recently, the Corrazina in the MET with the faulds is a fake; what should a corrazina have below the waist? I've done tassets because it was an easy/ simple solution, but with no documentation. What should be there?

I can do a custom all HDPE plastic kit, all plates edged, holes drilled, buckles, straps and rivets for $120 + shipping. Pics are at the link below. If you prefer faulds rather than tassets, I can do these instead.

I'm pretty sure that Paypal has a limited time (30 days, iirc) to file a claim about a transaction. Unscrupulous venders who know Paypal's policies will pull the stall tactic until you are too late to file a claim. Since it appeared he was stalling / dodging you, it's a good idea to file that before...

Re: Almain Splints for SCA - any ideas?

The problem is: if they were cheap crappy armor in period, then any replica's will also be cheap, crappy armor. Most people need their hands to keep working, and having armor that doesn't really protect them isn't an option. IMHO.
