Re: Books!
I notice that you have some very reasonable prices on some very good books for beginners- European Armour in the Tower of London by Dufty seems to be one of the best for the least books that most people in the community don't seem to know about. Europaische Helme is another. The FB groups would be ...

Very much open to offers and trades on these. I traded armor for some of these and the rest I tried to remember what I paid and stay as close to those numbers as I could. Many of these are hard if not nearly impossible to find anymore. Armi E Armature Lombarde: $300 The Churburg Armoury Prunner: $20...

Re: Books!
I will try to get a list of the books tomorrow. Don't have a solid idea on prices. I kind of expected most people to just want to trade :) Looking at auction prices, stuff goes for some crazy amounts. The Wallace Collection with stick has been the most requested so far and I have been offered $700 f...

Sorry to crosspost but I think this is something people not typically looking at the classifieds may be interested in. I have finally resigned myself to the fact that I just don't make armor enough anymore to justify having these books around and I think others will use them more. So, I am selling m...

If my memory is correct, you were my very first customer.
I didn't find the pair I was thinking of. I will keep looking though.
Otherwise I can make you a pair and give you a first customer discount

Thanks Halberds. Yes, but not as much as I used to.
Ceawlin, After putting the flutes in you can get a bit of dishing back by either dishing with a soft mallet or over a ball stake with a soft mallet.

Re: How did they origionally punch holes in metal?
I made some by using a small center punch over the pritchet hole in my anvil. It made the volcano shape and a small hole. I took a file and filed the top off the volcano until it was the correct size. I then flattened the volcano down with a hammer blow and used a rat tail file to clean it up. Was s...

Re: Quick bolting objects
The key to using them is to match the size of the Cleco to the hole size exactly. So, use a 1/8" Cleco with 1/8" holes only. If the Cleco is too small, it may deform the hole and pull through if you are hammering on the pieces being held together.
