Hi, I started dishing a large piece if 3mm steel that I want to eventually raise into a helmet, first stages are going pretty rough. I was wondering if it would go faster if I heated the steel, but I got it at the scrapyard and don't know what kind of steel it is. I figured maybe you guys could look...

Thanks for the encouragement everybody. I plan to have the dishing stump finished soon and I'll continue to work on the shoulder cop. ManOnFire thanks that really helps me out. The log I used doesn't have any sort of dip in it, it's just a regular flat log.
