Hi all. I'm looking for a leatherworker that has a white belt-blank that's an actual 2" wide, a decent thickness (3 - 4 oz) and dyed through white, not covacolored. Does anyone have an idea on who I might be able to reach out to?
Thanks.
~Malcolm

Re: Stainless crusader helm.
Hi there, thanks for the interest, but I really can't justify taking that much of a hit on it. I'm really kinda looking to get out what I put into it, or otherwise it may as well sit in the living room and wait for me to finish the rest of the work on the kit.
Thanks though.
Thanks though.

Re: Middle Kingdom Spring Crown 2012
Talking is not what the list is for. The shot is good, or it is not. There's nothing to say that lasts more than 15 seconds. "My lord, that was light." Or, in a worst case scenario: "My lord, I feel I am putting everything I have behind these shots, are they just not landing with any force?" "No, th...

Re: 12th C Helm for sale.
Good questions. I should have put that information out there. It's stainless. and it fits me well. I have a 23" head, and with the padding here: http://www.clanoldcastle.com/prydeskeep/Photos/helm/IMAG0449.jpg It fits me well. http://www.clanoldcastle.com/prydeskeep/Photos/helm/IMAG0450.jpg http://w...

12th C Helm for sale.
Greetings all. Last fall I purchased this helm from a fellow archiver, with the desire to work up a full 12th C kit. As it works out, I don't have the time or energy to give the endeavor its due. Rather than let this rot away on my shelf, I am putting this up here if there is someone who can put it ...

It is my belief that CA should be left as is, but there should be a change in the mentality of the marshallate and individuals setting up the scenarios in which CA (or any weapon for that matter) is used. To be simple, don't have "Fish in a barrel" scenarios. Any battle that locks a force into a sin...

Sir Graedwyn is correct, I did transition from lefty to righty. For me, it's a permanent change as my issue is in the wrist. I am not a natural talent when it comes to fighting, everything I know and can do comes from rote repetition. It can be done, you need to put your mind to the task and execute...

I was thinking, "how do you win a practice?" until I read the event copy online. :D It is the custom of many sca knights I hold in high regard to switch to the weaker side if one side is dominating the other and nothing else is done. The only thing I ever said in regard to Aethelmearc's army is that their guys NEVER SEEM TO SHOW UP. I don't get it. How many knights do they have? When I look up all I see are corn-fed Atlantian monster-guys. Is their fighting population really small right now? Thanks for the motivation, Vitus. :)...

Small shield using fighters are not "better" than fighters who use other shields ... The upper echelon of fighters will be able to adjust and deal with them, regardless. My apologies for the aggressive editing, but these two ideas as presented in His Majesty's missive reflect a recurring theme that...

To limit a shield size, and imply that it is "the right thing to do" or "more honorable" for whatever reason is to put a judgement upon a particular fighting style. When we talk about smaller shields being used in the 13th and 14th C; it is an accurate account, but it also is because armor performed...

Just an observation about the playground belonging to Aethelmaerc. No, it doesn't. And it was there long before there was an Aethelmearc. Big red button there, sorry. Gavin And, not to be entirely argumentative.. but yes..yes it is. The event predates the Kingdom, just as GulfWar predates Meridies....

I think he's talking about the small "woods battle WITH combat archery" experiment Theresa the Huntress (sorry if I spelled her name wrong) held a few years ago at Pennsic.
