Re: Knights of Mayhem - did you watch?

In the end, I would really like it if we jousters could just get along well enough to move the sport forward. You don't have to step on people to get ahead and you don't have to be a prick to be respected. I have been saying the same thing for years and I am glad that someone who's opinion I respec...

You are going to have trouble finding someone to do that for you. Trimming and hemming are usually done at the same time. It is doable, but it is more difficult than putting the trim on as you are making the garment, and it never looks quite right.

Chretien, Yes, I believe that is the same person. If no one is able to help me contact him, maybe someone can help me with this. I am trying to emblazon his heraldry and it has me a little bit confused. I have been a herald for a while, but I have to admit this one is tough. Blazon: Sable, a dragon ...

I need help to contact Magnus Blodaxe - about his heraldry

Does anyone here know Magnus Blodaxe? He was, at one time, a member of the Kingdom of Acre. His arms are still on the Armorial and Roll of Arms and I have a question, but I am having trouble contacting him.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Edited to add name to subject.

If it is "Lexol" it is a cleaner and conditioner and may very well remove dye as it would strip the sealer layer off.

Two useful links: http://tiny.cc/g34cQ "The most common black dye in medieval times was produced by adding extract of galls to iron sulphate or to superimpose several dark layers of shades, one over the other, so that the density deepened layer on layer." http://www.elizabethancostume.net/dyes/innsb...

Maeryk, Poison Dart Frog is a relatively new nomenclature, something that happens regularly in the natural sciences. I agree, impaling the frog itself does not do anything. As I indicated the frog is allowed to desiccate after being impaled which causes the frog to exude the acquired toxin which the...

I wonder if it can be as simple as "steeping their points in the expressed juice". This description sounds so simple as to almost be metaphoric. Mac Mac, I don't know for sure, but I would guess it would not be that much different than what the native peoples do with poison arrow frogs. They simply...

Mac, There is a footnote on page 13 and I quote: "From the practice of formerly steeping the heads of crossbow bolts in the juice of a poisonous herb, the white hellebore is to this day known in parts of the country districts of Spain as ' the crossbowman's plant.' " There is also this reference: ht...
