FS Men's Long Cote 14th C

I have a cote that I started for Nigel a few years ago that does not quite fit him as he's been doing a lot of climbing. I'd call it a SCA Small to Med size - as I said made for Nigel who is 6 ft (his shoulders are 20 in, chest 42, waist 35). It is purple fabric (sorry not sure of content) with smal...

No worries, I didn't take offence. I am hoping he will post pics of his early period kit as it is an example of what you are discussing. Very economical kit that is modern materials fully covered so as to appear medieval :)

Re: Combat of the 30?? How did it go?

For me although its been a few years since I have participated I just have to share a thought. The SCA is full of merit awards, tokens etc etc. I see the deed in itself sufficient and the damaged armour, welts and bruises an adequate outward sign of participation. I am not a captain the decision is...

Adam: You and the Priory are missed more than you know, and were discussed at some length this year. If any of you can make the return to the 30, please find a way, your lack has been felt. If any of you is too injured to fight, please attend and act as Kings of Arms. I would heartily echo Johannes...

Combat of the 30 with 33 fighters for the French side??? How bad did they want to win this year after losing the Deed of Arms at Gulf Wars.[/quote]

The French did offer to even up sides, however the English declined.

Re: injured...and seeking info

Earl Nigel damaged tore several tendons a few years ago at Double Wars. He couldn't walk for about 3 months but did physio religiously. He fought in crown about a month after his surgery and made the semis. Rehab depends largely on what kind of shape you're in and how dedicated you are to rehab.
