Re: Ebay seller using stolen arming garment images

Is actually stolen from Indian Souvenir, a mail maker on ebay I've had good luck with - here is their listing (which is also considerable cheaper at $78 and I recommend them, have had them do some custom work for me) http://www.ebay.com/itm/111496513016?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%...

Re: WTB Blacksmithing tools

not really sure an angle grinder is a good option for a 14 year old, its a fairly dangerous tool if your not paying attention or working in an alkward position. A fair point I guess. Depends on the kid. My girls are 14 and 16 respectively. I supervise the big one with the angle grinder, not as much...

As an alternative to a new handle... Could you hang the buckler from a leather strap hanging from your belt rather than the belt itself? That would give the existing handle/bulk somewhere to go rather than having it tight against your hip.

Francis, I think the piercing drift would get chewed up horrendously on stainless - not saying it doesn't exist though. I think you'll find pin or welded stainless more common. I was under the understanding that wedge riveted in stainless was such a rare bird on account of the rings wanting to rabb...

May be a relatively minor consideration, but if you'll be putting several of those around your helmet, solid cast ones are pretty heavy. I think originals tended to be hollow. I forget who did it, but I remember seeing a nice tutorial online that showed how to make them pretty simply (if you have a...
