Re: Pas d'Armes of St Michael's Abbey

They are awesome!! I just ordered the glass part for my hour glass, its a simple crest but will still look OK :) My armour arrived last week and it’s just as expected, correct, well made and the measurements are right on! I expected an issue with the breastplate and the greaves but are the best part...

Re: Pas d'Armes of St Michael's Abbey

Mild steel this time, i might replace it all with spring over the next 12 months.
The process involved 25-30 measurements. I have not tried it on yet so i'll let you know once it arrives.

It is always better to get fittings but some time you just cant.

Re: Pas d'Armes of St Michael's Abbey

For an event like this, one needs new armour right? :D I had a look at three armorers from the Ukraine and after some issues (at my end) I worked out a deal with Maxim from Wild Armoury. He is 10/10 for communication, updates, work, price and everything. http://www.emmaa.com.au/images/hosted/Newarmo...

Re: Pas d'Armes of St Michael's Abbey

As one of the challengers I’m very happy and excited to be a part of this event. Just to set the mood for the combat … This will be the first time in Australia that full force/speed combat, with striking, binds and throws will be done at a public event with insurance. All weapons will have their edg...

Centre Pivot - not at this time.

There are a few places around that sell the Centre Pivot hinge, you could buy one and do the modification yourself, inexpensively and with little effort.

Helms come as is… I have 4 x 14th century Bascinets that has been designed / prototyped by me and manufactured OS. The OS workshop has been doing 'display armour’ for many years and with my direction is ‘slowly’ moving to be more historically accurate. All sheet steel parts are 2mm (14guage)...

It doesn't matter how many times you look at something it can take a while to see the problem.

The holes are on the wrong side.
