 I totally agree, kill the cow and let it fall dead on my plate. Beer and water and plenty of it. But with that, in equal amounts, I crave the company to share it with. Oh... and there has to be a toast to a good day of fighting. There needs to be an affirmation to that fact. I raise my glass a...

I've only come to mine recently but it fits. Fortius Quo Fidelius - Strength through loyalty Question though, would a motto be displayed only on someone's shield or banner or could I put it on my jupon? I have 2 cloth shoulder flaps. The right one has my household symbol on it and I was thinking I c...

Is there going to be a Lady of the Rose tournament this year

I looked on the battlefield schedule but did not see it listed. Maybe I'm looking for the wrong name?

I have bee having some success in tourney's with right hand sword and rondel dagger in a icepick style grip in my left hand. You have to be super aggressive with it to work though. Be careful of the icepick grip because the force generated can be tremendous. My 2 cents.

This is quite interesting. I doubt you could get the followup info that you were writing about. " You may send a letter after the fact but I think it would be hard pres...

Okay riddle me this... :?: In this senario, I am a polearm guy fighting a sword and shieldsman. I am being charged and I throw a shot directly into the shield to try to break his momentum. It does not skip off or anything. He tells me that he is dead. He explains that I have killed him because I thr...

What is the combat advantage of this as oposed to a rubber formed head (like Capt. Jaime's) vs a a polearm that is not split but has a thrusting tip attached to it? Or is it just an asthetic thing; It looks more like a real one than the others. Does it save weight somehow, pack more of a wallop? Als...

Rattan Dagger...

What would be the best way to create a dagger to be used for a backup for SCA heavy weapons. I fight polearm all the time and I've seen others who have them that use them to good affect. Also seen some people fight sword and dagger and it looked fun.

Thanks...
