One god advice would be, get some books, pictures from museums to get a idea what real armour looks like. By looking at these shit Indian drain pipes types of armour you just get some bad ideas what it should look like.

Made from milld steel. The breast plate is from 2mm. the rest is from 1.6 mm - 1.3 mm
Leg is from 1.6 mm
it will fit a person with a 94 cm waist.
