Re: FS: Peascod Breastplate

WaaaghBoss' post made me think that there might be a misinterpretation about the waist dimension. The measurement was made with the measuring tape following along the curvature of the inside from edge to edge, -not- straight across from edge to edge. The dimension taken from edge to edge with the me...

Thanks for the replies, guys! Yeah, I hear you Ursus. That's why I never got into making armour, etc professionally myself was because of the amount of work going into making it, as well as running the business end to boot with not that big of a financial return for the effort.

Re: FS: Welded stainless flat ring shirt by Master Knuut

:bump: I have a couple of questions. Apparently there is an SCA armour classifieds/want ads page on facebook. In other folk's opinion, is there a better chance of selling this hauberk over the facebook site than there is here? I'd think that the Armour Archive would be the best site to sell stuff, j...

Re: The luck of the Irish strikes again...

Good luck on your recovery! I've worked in manufacturing most of my life, and I've seen a few of this type of accident before, unfortunately. The last one was about two years ago when a guy lost some of his pickers on an old cincinnati 300 ton press brake. Apparently he zoned out while forming somet...

Oil is not the only reason for the materials price increase. The demand for raw materials is increasing because the developing nations such as India and China are consuming larger and larger amounts each year. Ironically, the U.S. consumer is partly responsible for the increase, by the fact that the...

Thanks for the advice so far, guys. I checked DSL. What's good about them is they'll ship any size-anywhere, but it'll be over $300.00 to get it to the place it needs to go.

At that price, You'd think that I am trying to send a bunch of stuff to Gilligan's Island! :?
