Re: Pennsic XLI combat reviews
I had a good time The 1pm start time was good but it works either way for me personally. I do believe it was something to try atleast. I did like the qty of battles made the 2200 mile trip worth fighting. I was on the allied side and the commanders should get some credit for doing their best with a ...

Train for the technique, not the opponent. In our game, we don't fight one person for the big prize, we fight 1000 people to tell the tale as a prize. I agree fully with Brion you are a fighter your height being short or tall has its advantages and dis advantages. Myself I learned a lot about fight...

Yeah I think we needed one more battle on Fri & Sat, time frame of how long the battles were much different than I expected. The most awesome things this war to me were. 1. The Weather excellent 2. It appeared everyone fought hard, and everyone had a great attitude. 3. The parties, with the weather ...

To me if the western fighting conventions of killing from behind were adopted it think it would make more issues of engagment clearer. IMO each are different and cool for their own reasons. Pennsic Good= Green site, actual castle front and woods battle, more parties, more pick ups, longer event. Bad = fighting conventions prevent a more intense fighting, less battles Estrella= Intense fighting, more battles, close to home Bad= less...
