Re: Weapons "Borrowed" off the end of a Bridge at Pennsic.
Aethelmarc was on the other side of the bridge (fighting for the East). The fighter that took it was fighting for the Midrealm, same as we were. Yes, weapons disappear all the time, but I've never heard of them walking off in the middle of a bridge that we were fighting on and not come back. I hope ...

Re: Weapons "Borrowed" off the end of a Bridge at Pennsic.
There are groups that Pennsic that intentionally steal things. It sucks, but its true. I've never had a weapon disappear from the middle of a damn battle before, that was a new one. Lesson learned I guess.

Weapons "Borrowed" off the end of a Bridge at Pennsic.
This Dane Axe was stolen off the end of our Bridge (Middle's far left) during one of the battles, along with a greatsword (that was later recovered.) Please keep an eye out for it. It has a rattan clacked head, a tennis ball buttspike, and is wood burned / stained on the haft. One of our guys saw a ...

Ursus to sit vigil at Pennsic
Since many of you around the Knowne World have come to know and love the good works of Baron Ursus of Angelsey from his website bogpages.com and from this site, I wanted to let you know that TRM Atlantia will sit vigil for, and receive his Pelican at Pennsic this year. As I have more details about t...

Location may play a role in who enters. I have heard that more of the dukes live in the southern part of the kingdom, where Spring Crown was held. Conversely, last fall's Crown was held up north, and there were very few dukes but a good number of knights and unbelts. (The fall Crown final was betwe...

Can anyone identify the maker of this sca helmet?
I got this message from Count Ruslan up in the East the other day: "Hey, I rarely go on Armour Archive, but I wanted to post something and when I try and sign in it won't let me, and when I try and get it to resend me a password it says I don't exist, but when I try and register it says my email(s) ...

ZOMBIE THREAD!!!
Just an update:
Count Amos's poly stick finally broke last week after 4.5 years of constant use. Mine is from the same batch and still going strong (however I lost several months to back surgery and started using the stick a few months after Amos...so call that 4 years.)

Re: A Salute to the Middle Kingdom
It was lots of Fun fighting for the center tower with one exception, the archers. We where already greatly outnumbered and our spearmen where getting torn to peices by arrows. ( I was shot seven times without throwing a single thrust with a 9' spear, this while either walking up to the line or tryi...

Re: A Salute to the Middle Kingdom
i think it's wonderful that the Middle got to be heroes. I think it sucks that I'll bet a BUNCH of folks on the other side, in every scenario, didn't get to fight. How fun that must be. Who didn't get to fight Morgan? Am I wrong and you were there? I was worried that would happen but it never came ...

"Conceding the war points" has been done and that didn't work either, and pissed a lot of folks off. I'm not sure what the solution is at this point.

Re: The War Shouldn't Be Over in June
Good post Falcone, with one correction. The war was won with phone calls, starting in November.
Lots of smart folks have posted lots of good points on here. It's up to 'the powers that be' to give a more of a crap about everyone having lots of fighting fun than they do about winning.

Re: Back injury and fighting question.
I second Egoscue and if you go to Pennsic you need to talk with Paul about. I avoid spear in a flare up because of the rotational stress on the back. I have found sword and shield to be the most protective for me, personally.

heck we had a short little flub which had folks thinking that the precession into court was king/queen, landed baron/baroness, prince/princess. not sure how that one happened but good lord was it a mess. It's obivously a topic that comes up now and again and a subject of some confusion and disagree...
