I took the list and sorted it by belts/unbelts and linked photos to it. http://wiki.caid-commons.org/index.php/Summer_Crown_2009 Duchess Kolfinna is still coming off of her back injury. This isn't her crown but give her time. Yep, only my second tournament back from a 2.5 year injury lay off. I'm ve...

Dirk is not listed as having been squired to Ivan here , and I'm pretty sure Ed didn't start training with Dirk until after he was knighted. This is a good list, but in-accurate. Here's something I have finally accepted after 25 years of kicking and screaming. I'm a fighter. I'm a woman. No matter what, people look at me and see a female fighter. No matter what I try or do -- that's all I can be. Gender is a huge part of how people see other people. What I want to be -- a f...

Re: Your impressions of Caid?

I've always heard that, too - Caidans are the best-dressed. Of course, I think Atlantia does a pretty darn good job, too. I don't know that all kingdoms are equal on style these days, but it's been a couple years since I've been to an inter-kingdom event besides Pennsic (or Crusades). I think that ...

Re: Your impressions of Caid?

I was wondering if people could share their impressions, opinion and give their own advice about how we should step into the lives of being Caidan warriors. Best thing to do is show up and fight! That simple. Show up, fight, be willing to learn, be chivalrous, be honest, be nice and people will go ...

I really like Linen. It breathes nicely and doesn't tear like cotton does. Linen when it takes abuse just makes little holes that amuse themselves happily, unlike cotton where you'll get a (notso) cool vertical slash down the front of your outfit. The first time I wore linen pants when fighting I th...
