Hi there, thanks for your interest. I can make you one like that if you like for a few dollars more, but I would suggest trying one out with loose rivet articulation first, Im drilling the holes a little oversize these days so you really get good range of motion like that. With a few modifications, I have been using one of your chestplates (in white even) since 2005. It has endured 8 pennsics without issue. My modification was to remove the original rivets and attach leather strips down the inside to make it collapsible more like lorica segmentata. Wow thank you for ...

He will most likely contact you directly about payment options. He is in the Ukraine, so getting money to him can be tricky. I ended up using a bank-to-bank funds transfer.

Zen Warrior has some good starter helm options. If you're looking to get something safe, cheap, and fast, this would be a good option: http://www.zenwarriorarmory.com/catalog.php?item=50&catid=65&ret=catalog.php%3Fcategory%3D65 My crew has purchased a couple of these for new fighters, and they are g...

Re: Standalone gambeson, ala Mac Bible and Konstanin?
Next question is how to engineer those consarn pockets into place? I'd figure on building the entire pocket layer separately and laying the rest of the gambeson atop that layer, as a shell garment, primarily attaching about the outer layer's edges and its seams. Ding! Ding! We have a winner. OK, I ...

Patterns/Ideas for a Gourget That Fastens in the Back?
Hi Everybody;
I'm looking to make a new gourget for SCA use. I am planning on getting a maille standard and mounting that over the top, but I I need to make something rigid for the foundation. Has anybody tackled this before? Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated.

Don't sell it Brother!!! Many years ago, I sold my Knotwolf helm to fund another armour project, and I fully regret it now. I would love to have it back now, even if it was just to have it on a shelf and occasionally rub it down lovingly with a diaper.

These are very cool. Of course; being an SCA guy, I'm thinking about how to back them with heavy leather or metal to make them legal. Is that something you have already pondered?

Hi Andrew;
I just had a question: in the picture of the inside of the helm that shows the liner, there is some sort of black fabric attached to the back of the helm. What is that?
