Re: Recipe for Brewer's Pitch (and maybe cutler's pitch)?

The pennsic merchant I think was using Envirotex pour-on as a sealer. As for harvesting pitch it seams the Foxfire book uses the pitchwood and cooking it out/down. Les Landes region is an industrail forest known for producing particular type of pitch. (there is a bit of history on the methods and te...

Often the rivets sold with chainmail links are much to long leading to bending more than an a set rivet. I usually cut the lenght down a bit first. most pliers aren't parallel so its a lot easier to bend things... For pliers I fill down the jaws and cut them back to get the working area as close to ...

ez burner is a propane atmospheric burner relying on the venturi effect for proper fuel/air mix to burn. Your fuel cell likely won't produce enough volume to burn properly at that size. Hydrogen burns a hell of a lot faster and likely will ignite in the burner tube before reaching the flare. I would...

To drill something small like that you need a vise or clamp to hold it. This type is limited but fairly quick to make with a hinge and some scrap wood. Screws into the end grain tend to be fairly week so cut the ends at a 45 so your going across the grain. https://www.amazon.com/REAMER-DRILLING-HOLD...
