Re: How do you get your "tourney brain" on?

I use a Technique called anchoring. In short I have programmed my self to change focus when I put my glove on. It is the switch that takes me from Happy go lucky fool to "cold killer"

I can only wear so much armor at once. First off we have A Eastern style helm (fits 24 inch noggin) with Chain and A set of Ebonwoulf...

Re: First Hot Work, Fireproof Dishing Stump?

Just realized That may have sounded just a touch dickish. Raising really is the best way. It is the only way you can get the proper shapes without male and female dies and a flywheel press. I wish I had learned how to do it when I first started out making Armour.

Re: Length of Being a Squire

Each person on the path is judged according to their own merits in relation to the order. The length of time one is a squire is not a factor. Be knightly. Everything else will fall into place in it's own season.

Re: how to brace a full leg for heat treating?

I would look at normalizing the steel as part of the heat treat process. I know you are working with 410 but I don't know what the temp and soak time for it should be. Your heat treat guy should know.

Guys, the Idea of challenging some nimwit to an sca fight over their mouth is both stupid and sullies what we do on the field. We fight for the love of the game not for revenge. If you really think his mouth is writing checks take his ass to a parking lot and cash them. The field is not the place fo...
