Re: Heat treating, cleaning and polishing scales in 4130.
Thanks everyone. I'm always looking for better ideas. I made a cylinder/basket from tie wire and scales. I understood foil is best for air hardening steels and expensive for non critical jobs (armour and crafts.) I also was told that you need to remove items from the pouches for quench. Dunno. I was...

Hi folks, need a hand. I have a sallet that I need to clean quick. I've left in it a bag and mold has attacked the liner and chin. It has custom cast rivets so I don't have enough time to get new ones and replace the liner. What are your tricks for removing, killing and de-stinking leathers? My stan...

Re: UKRAINE delivery, in customs bummer
My last delivery from Ukraine took 9.5 weeks and there was nothing I could do about it. Often, Eastern European tracking numbers don't continue after landing at US customs. After much frustration I just plan on a month added in the transit time. Good luck and I feel you pain.

Re: BotN Spine protection
Too late now, but I would have continued the leather and added plates to protect the base of you spine also. I got the impression that some of the COPS out there ignored coverage of the top and bottom back. I may be wrong though. Good luck over there.
