Out of interest who actually cuts out a blank that ends up the same byt eh time the piece is finished? I have 'patterns' but they all get cut down and trimmed all the way through the shaping process. if i was going to build them i would start with big rectangles of card and see how much shape they need to try and work out if the plates need to be cut round or shaped(dished, raise) then i would start with the plate on the very point of the shoulder and re work each lame fom that central one. hope...

i've done this more times than i care to remember plug something in to the wall getting geared up, turning it on and it not work, i'll check the plug end up replacing the fuse and it still not work. only to find out that i haven't turned it on at the wall.......

So would the fauld have actually gone down to the edge of the jupon, asssuming that it is a breast plate under the jupon?

Or could it have been a mail fauld beneath the breast plate?

well, i order a stake from hal it was the massive one that he posted about a month or two ago. from those ofyou that don't know or haven't order from him in the past he is excellent to deal with, from start to finish a class act. the stake is great it was made to fit in my anvils hardy which it does...

i've done it cold as long as you are careful and go slow it works fine although you might need to periodically re fold the folded bit or even start with it abit over folded as it will probably open out abit.

if you fold it in hlf first then hammering on the inside of the fold against the tip of the anvil, using a flat facesd hammer (a raising hammer or such)if you hammer more at the outside half the metal will curve round keeping the folded shape, make sure you do a couple of blows and flip the peice ov...

hey guys,
i have got loads of close up pictures of the vambraces and rerebraces, and there are articultions towards the elbow on both parts, they are hard articulations, but i can work out how they would work, as they face into the arm, anyone any clues?

yep no sollerets, not completly insane!
i know that the orignal is a riding suit but mine is going to be like the tyrol suit not a copy, it was just so that everyone reading the tread would hve some sort of idea of the actual parts and the way they go together.
