Hello, I have some questions about the school if you don't mind. Do you have many members from the SCA? About how many people attend each class? Do you work with any of the other period groups in the area like Tattershall? Do you guys recruit or teach to members of the Heavy, rapier or Cut and Thrus...

Stamps rock
First off, it has to be one of the weirdest things to see this stuff on an Armour site. Second, these stamps are not produced by Pitney. They are from Stamps.com Third, anyone can submit an image for customized postage. All images are subject to approval. www.photostamps.com or www.stamps.com Fourth...

Funny you should ask....
Winterborne, I have actually decided to put the back together in quarters. Pictures of that are at the bottom. Here is the finished front. I tried to put a light brown buckle hoping it would look good with the brass. Boy was I wrong. <img src="http://www.canterburyforge.com/armor/Day2/Pics/DSCN0493....

Amount of fabric needed
Does anyone know how much material is needed to cover the entire kit? I am going to try and pick up some leather this weekend and wondered if anyone could give me a rough idea of how much is needed.
Thanks,

Orazio The helm is nice as can be. It fits perfectly and it was actually made quickly. It just took his post office a while to get it shipped. He mailed it right on time but the post office held the item. I think they used the box for football practice. It was is sorry shape when it got to me. The ...

Review: Klappvisor from Armor and Casting
Way back in December / January I started talking to Beathen about ordering a Bascinet with a Klappvisor. Through out the entire process Beathen was really good with the communication and everything.
Here are some pics of the helm. Please ignore the rust as that is my fault, not Beathen's.

I have ordered both Arms and Legs from him,. The arms were great and flow nicely. The legs were okay. They put a lot of stress on my knees when bending as they seem to almost bend slightly outwards. I got them sometime ago and I never contacted him about them but everytime I had contacted him he was...

Are there any Armorers in the Los Angeles Area?
A friend and I have done some basic armoring. General stuff like rivets, straps, and shaping of existing armor. It is something that I do find enjoyable and was wondering if there are any armorers in the Los Angeles or Southern California area that are willing to do some teaching? Or maybe someone h...
