The last time this was to happen was a little over a decade ago. It was me winning Crown unbelted in the West, wit...

Sinclair, Oscad de Segovia was the victor. He is the King's Champion of the East. Roger Thank you Roger for the correction. I fear I misidentified him as the Queens Champion which I believe is the position that you hold for Her Majesty East. Congrats on your deep entry into the Squires Tourney as w...

A wonderful tourney to watch. 60 Squires in combat. Various forms and styles, arms and armor. The final four combatants were from 4 different Kingdoms. Does your knight need to be present or may another knight from your household sign you in? This is the biggest confusion in this tourney at both Pennsic and Gulf Wars. Thank you for asking so that I could answer the question now in advance. NO ONE HAS TO SIGN IN THE SQUIRES! No knight has to be the...

Could Man-at-arms join this tourney? Didnt realize that i posted it wrong. The Tourney is limited to just those men and women that have taken the Red belt to signify they are a Squire in service and fealty to a member of the Chivalry. Man-at-arms means quite a few different things as you travel fro...

Re: Question
In the late rounds or of the tourney why did Sinclair have to fight Alric twice to advance in what appeared to be the same round ? I am sure it is just a different tourney custom.... Like in some Kingdoms were you keep a loss from the tourney in finials if your opponent is clean in to finials. In t...

You could always go with a suggestion I made a couple of years ago. Have the big double elim "bring whatcha got" tourney. As you're eliminated from the big double elim, go over to the other field and enter your name in the round shield tourney if you so desire. Establish a cutoff of entry so that s...

Some guys WANT round shields and for the event to have a Norse theme. Really? Who are the crazy norsemen? Most of our guests from the Midrealm will be fighting that way as they always do. That is part of their persona and how they prefer to fight. It is a shield style I am MUCH less skilled with bu...

Going back to what Flittie said... Women. SCA combat is one of the few sports in the world where women compete on the same field, and with the same rules, as men. There have got to be some athletic, tough, women out there who that specifically would appeal to. I agree... that is the secret and we n...

Sir Sinclair, Two bits of advice from a somewhat newly-recruited member: 1. Whomever your chatelaine is, they need to utilized much more, and be directly involved with the new people from the get-go. Think of them as your PR person. Trying to recruit fighters, your chatelaine should be a fighter (a...
