The lower face protection on that Sallet is a flat bar cup welded to the lower section of the helm. It tucks back under the chin to protect the lower face and throat. Corny wears a leather gorget in conjuntion with this to protect his neck. I'm sure he can give you more information.

I got a beautifully tooled pair of shovel greaves from Torvaldr for my knighting. They fit well, were very comfy and looked great. My only slight disappointment is now he is doing them in 2 layers which I think looks even more sexy.

Really nice helm but I second leekellerking concerns. If you make them out of 12ga I think a lot more people would be willing to buy.

We used to use it a lot a few years ago. Depends on the quality of the alloy. In the last few years it seems to be softer and not last as long. It might start to warp a bit after a year or 2.
