From what I can remember (they were made for me a few years ago) 16 gauge Mild Steel. They are rock solid and would easily stand up to live steel combat. You feel very secure when wearing them.

Damn! that's hard luck WinterG. Never mind. My advice, save a bit more, take some casts of your legs and get some custom made to your own legs. That way, it is (hopefully) a perfect fit every time
