Sure do, what you're thinking of is called Fantastico and it has dozens of scripts that can be installed with a few clicks of the mouse and a bit of typing.

I just finished one of these for SCA combat and put one of Valkyrie Forges shield bosses and grips on it. It works great, lightweight and putting the grip slightly lower then the centre does help keep it where you want it.
