Re: Stainless Knees, Elbows, and Shoulders
Those were mine a long time ago. The shoulder cops are from Rough from the hammer and I just finished them out. The knees are for big boys. A really nice set, I hated to get rid of them. All stainless that will polish up nicely.

Re: Beautiful German Onion Top Pigface Bascinet from Hammerb
I would be up for it, but you know the shipping would be crazy. A set of gauntlets in a flat rate international box was over $66.00 to ship. Send me you address and I'll pack it up and see what it will cost.

I didn't think in that direction, good thinking Losthelm. You could ask you preacher/priest if you have one, they may need something re-done and you could possibly get in on it.

Cyanide is very dangerous and very controlled . I have worked around it, and it is a pain in the butt. Have you contacted a jeweler around you? You could also look up electro platers on line and ship it, a cup should not be a problem. Silvers not to bad in price yet and the amount you would need is ...

Re: How does one clean and polish and old Knotwolf
I like WD40 for basic cleaning. If the helm will be put up somewhere in a bag or a stand I would recommend CLP or Breakfree. It is a gun cleaning agent that will leave a layer of teflon when it "dries". Ican be had at any Wal-Mart.

We love all your tools Halberds. I certainly do, or else I wouldn't keep buying them. LOL The new tool design looks very interesting. I love the large pipe for curves. For all my trash talk I need to "mount" my stake holder to a solid stump and "pound" away on it. LOL

Re: removable klapplvisor hinge
I hate to bring this name up, but Ashcroft Baker had a removable bar grill design like Sean is talking about. Sorta like a flattened "C" welded to the top of the grill with a heavy (10 gauge) hook riveted to the helm. Seems to work OK. I did like the fact that Ashcroft put the same flatteded "C" on ...

Re: A few quick questions on COP construction.
I used Double layer sail cloth with leather washers under the rivets to keep them from cutting into the fabric. The upside to the sail cloth is it comes in a variety of colors and is pretty much water proof and durable. Down side is that it doesn't breath, but neither does leather. I still have my f...

Re: Question on Using Canvas
I used double layer black sail cloth on COPs. I use a sharpened ice pick to push through the fabric. What I do different than most is I use a leather washer between the rivet and the cloth. The washer is slightly bigger than the rivet to keep it from cutting the fabric. I have used double layer 10 o...

Halberds here on AA is selling helm kits for a very reasonable price. They need to be dished and riveted together. At $85.00 plus shipping you can't beat it with a stick.
