the wall tent was used from Roman times all the way up to current times. Great tents. Period tent that goes up in 15 mins. I love mine.

remember to move your feet ... and what Diglach said. basic shots win most fights. Range and timing is what you have to really learn.

Bohemond is great. Agreed ... but the last time i ordered a pair of his shoes (low cut persians for the girlfriend) the wait time was a little over a year. Frankly from what i've seen ... i think he does the best Mongol helms ... you might want to contact him and get a custom one done. *shrug* You might want to look at http://www.aesirmetalwyrks.com/ Dongal's work. He has low cost option's which he calls "semi custom" which are much easier on the wallet.

Some of the later period helmets like the hussar helmets or the pointy persian helmets just don't lend themselves very well as fightable helmets. If you want later period that fights well go with a burgonet , sallet, or ceata, with open grills. Those were used more in the 15th century and up.

This isnt friggin soccer ... you dont get a "yellow card". If someone is UNSAFE on the Field it is the Marshal's RESPONSIBILITY to pull that persons card. End of story.

Sounds like the SEM is attempting a cleaning up of some stuff that has been going on for years unchecked at Pennsic. *shrug* If the mashalate deems them unsafe ... guess what ... he can pull their cards , actually its his JOB to pull them.

i kinda like it. It crams most of the warpoints for heavy into Thur-Fri-Sat. This allows me to leave after work on wed night and only miss the town battle on tuesday. *shrug*

Talk to Sir Sven (spyn on here). He came from amtgard. You might be able to talk your friends into playing more with 2 sticks when it doesn't hurt as much when you make a mistake ... by using foam swords at practice.
