What style of armor are you making? That should determine the thickness you want. If you plan on kozane (O-Yoroi style, or other...) I'd suggest Noble Plastics ( http://www.plasticlamellar.com ). Not from any personal experience, but several other SCA Nihonjin have recommended them on- and off-line....

I'm still in the market for that helmet we talked about. Also, I need a set of fanless knees. Any chance you'll be at practice wed(14th) or sun(18th)? Or is there a better time or place to meet up? I've got some pics to show what I'm after.
