I've asked this question here before, and I was given the regular options for cutting metal: Jigsaw, chisel and hammer (there's a good tutorial on this around here), throatless shears, nibblers, etc. The option I eventually took was the electric throatless shears by Makita. Mid-range price wsie, the...

Hey,
I've heard that you can use dried corn kernels like food stock as a fuel to replace coal or charcoal, mind you, it will probably smell like burnt popcorn.

I am working on the tests for it now.

Scarlet Knight Helmet

Hey guys, I am thinking of making the helmet shown so frequently as the symbol for Rutgers College. My sister goes there so I though it might make an interesting Project as a gift. http://hatsukanezumini.googlepages.com/scarletknight.jpg I was thinking of using the bascinet from Sinric ( http://www....

Measurments for a Sendai Do (fixing the real one now)

Hi everyone, I was planning to make a Sendai Do was a weekend project this weekend. Mostly because it's simple, but also because I have to polish it less. Anyway, It says on the pattern on the Achive that the Plates D and G measure 25% and 30% of the torso, respectivly. Does that mean at the Armpit,...

I've heard about this...

I think the government buried him to his neck, and put a bamboo saw near him for anyone who walks by to kill him if they want.

Might not be the same person but its similar i guess.

Thanks,
I think the armour I have is closer to the last one of those Otagiri, it is just sewn/riveted lames to a leather/fabric base.

I have been noticing that ina roll i bend my neck more than i would my torso, so thanks for that Joe.

I hope to finish this piece next weekend.

Flexible Armour Help.

Hi Everyone, I am trying to make a suit of flexible armour, so that it may be used with rolls and whatnot in the fighting style. I womder is the lack of clinkers in corn would allow easier forge-welding when using corn instead of coal as fuel. *shrug*

this is an awesome idea, because i would have to drive to the power plant to take some spilled coal off of the Rail Road tracks there, now i can just go into town :D
