Re: FS: Spanish Rapier/Main Gauche Price Reduced

I,m going to add my 2 cents in! I was a dealer for CAS/Hanwei and can say that $300 for the set is a steal. Far below retail!! The spec's on the blades ( if anyone cares) are : Rapier- overall 46"/blade 38"/weight 2lb's Main Gauche- overall 18"/ blade 12"/weight 1lb I never saw or heard of any probl...

The helm should easly fall within the SCA,s time period,,looks very much like ones done by Windrose or Knotwolf ,, I've never seen a yushman used in the Sca but looks like a great way to get the best of both worlds ,, looks Very historical and give s you protection from blunt force blows.. I would l...

I don't see why you couldn't use 3\16th just have to watch the spacing between the bars a bit ,maybe add a other ...

If the verson of Excalibur I,m thinking of the armour in it was very historical for the 16th centruy,, not 600 AD ( so they missed by a 1000 years or so ) . I have seen guys doing handstands and summersaults while wearing it, so its not bulky or unwieldly! It should be made to fit well too the perso...

Awsome work! I notice that on the original the check plates are lame's and not hinged plates and was wondering if that was the norm for early burgonet's. I too would like to know what type of visor or face plate goe's with it.

Great discusion folks as I have often though that the SCA style of fighting does not reflect the proper use and inportance of the sheild in western warfare. I just learned alot about phalanx tactics and greek shields and havn't even finshed my coffee yet
