I too thought of a batting helmet when i saw it.. well the head hasn,t changed so not a surpize too see shapes repeated over time, very nice helm won't be too many of them on the field ,looks like a real challange to make it Sca legal.

Great discusion folks as I have often though that the SCA style of fighting does not reflect the proper use and inportance of the sheild in western warfare. I just learned alot about phalanx tactics and greek shields and havn't even finshed my coffee yet
