As long as it's identifiable as an axe head, and it's a period one, then it'll pass with no problems. Axe heads are fine, as are full axes. Submit what you want to display, please. If you want a specific axe head, and you have documentation for its shape (which it looks like you do), include that do...

Re: 16th century Illuminatti time to show off your kits!!!
Finally, I have pictures I'm not embarrassed of! Soft kit, January 2012 (Steppes 12th Night). Hasn't changed since, really. I made almost everything I'm wearing myself: • The doublet and jerkin are based off of the Sture doublet. The jerkin has tabbed peplums, the doublet has solid ones like the ori...

Rapier Hangers: Who Makes 'Em?
I bought a set of Darkwood rapier hanger fittings a couple of months ago, and I'd like to finally get around to getting the belt made.
However, I have neither the time, talent, nor materials to put it together myself.
Anyone know who makes them? I would of course provide the aforementioned fittings.

I have heard, though cannot document at the moment, that it was to signify that your hand was empty (i.e. not holding a weapon).

Nope. I do the time period I want, and anyone who is looking at taking me as a dependent should know that. If they demand otherwise, I won't take the belt.

Truth. Go with the solid axle.Chris Gilman wrote:A solid axle like you started with will be much stronger. Now all of your load is on the poor little 1x2, it will never last. Also, if you plan on dragging this over rough ground, the larger the wheels the easier it will be to pull.

Re: Badge question for da heralds
I strongly urge you to consider a fieldless badge. It's more period, easier to conflict check and register (you get one free CD for fieldlessness, even against other fieldless badges), and looks WAAAAAAAY better. Try these on for size. I got the inspiration for them from your Arms: <[Fieldless] A li...

I'd like more detailed pictures of the Almain collar in A-194.
Also, is the Burgeonet in A-194 the same as A-52?
Thanks, Wade!

2. have you thought about putting the wheels on the inside of the box walls with only the bottom half sticking down to be seen? If you did that, you'd have to build a cover for them inside the box, and thus lose that much packing room for stuff. Also, that makes building the box an order of magnitu...

Find a herald. Ask them for help. We do this stuff all the time. Or at least occasionally, which is almost certainly more often than you have to. There are at least three of us who have offered you advice on this thread.

The Cathedral. Go see the Cathedral. It was the tallest building in the world for ten years, and the tallest structure in the world for four (topped by the Washington Memorial).

Re: Wheeled Armour Chest
If the lid is to be opened and closed on a hinge, you will need to bevel the edges of the front vertical supporting beams.
It might be a better idea to cut them off at the same level as the hinge, and affix the top parts to the lid.
