I have a 23 5/8 head and it fits me comfortably, the padding has a little give, but smaller heads fit very comfortable in it at a living history event I did. The visor is not removable. Good questions, Otto! I'll update my information.

I messed up on my measurements. I have a late Viking style nasal helm and a mid-Crusades helm as well. The nasal helm I messed up on the measurements as my head is more oblonged. Bad Ass Garb Gambeson

Gambeson from Bad Ass Garb. I'm 6'2 and about 225, around or less than a 48" chest. It's a little short in the arms, tight across the chest and a bit short for me but it's awesomely made. I just decided not to pursue the marshal arts after I got it. Never officially worn. Tried on 3 times. $150.
