I miss the days when USPS still had a surface packet option. It made shopping for stuff in the US a lot more affordable than it has been since they got rid of it.Draven wrote:I've shipped things out of country before and had it take over a month, I'd say give it some time.

If you go 8mm (2*4mm) poplar plywood it will be plenty tough for boffer/youth style combat and it will be very light!

Re: Building a leather hardening chamber
I think I will tinker a bit with cardboard, and when I have found a design that works will switch to plywood. Ihave also thought about a hinged design. My biggest concern is uneven heat, especially too much heat in spots. Losthelm, is flashing a metal surfsace for reflection? I am quite proud of my ...

Building a leather hardening chamber
I have a small oven. The biggest I can fit in there is a single greave or a pair of vambraces. I actually have customers who want breatplates, cuisses and other stuff. So I have decided to build a drying chamber for hardening leather. Or an oven, whatever you wanna call it. So here is my thinking: B...

I now realize this was very cryptic. Sorry  It is actually quite possibly more of a curiosity than anything else. In 1972 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. Also, the GSG9 was founded on 9/26/1972 after the Munich Olympics. On 9/27/1997...

Off-Topic: Know an Counterterror-Unit militaria collector?
I have a possibly unique and definitely most curious item in my possession concerning the German counterterrorist unit GSG9. Does anyone know a serious collector who might be interested, or might at least be able to point me to a place to offer it for appraisal and sale?
