Re: East Kingdom Fall Crown Tournament

It's still bad when someone has won a Crown and the people are unhappy about the way he did it and he doesn't seem to care about it so long as he has the hat on his head.
Of course, "THAT is same old, same old" as well.

Re: I am now taking orders.

Something similar to this, with round fan, in heavy aluminum or light stainless. Edged with brass. Right now I have an elbow cop with no fan, attached to a splinted vambrace via a simple leather strap. I kind of want something flexible but that looks better. http://s241.photobucket.com/user/Gunthero...

I love your stuff and have a set of elbow/vambraces that I use from you.
I may be interested in a set 14th Cent arms with rerebraces and a half gauntlet.
Could you give me a general estimate of the cost?

Re: Thinking of heavy aluminum. Thoughts?

I would like to know exactly what gauge Bokalo uses. And, were I to want to drop a dime on armor, I would go with either spring or some of Anshelm's thin stainless steel. But I'm just looking for inexpensive light plate legs to try out with my kit for those times I want plate instead of my cloth cov...

Re: Thinking of heavy aluminum. Thoughts?

I was hoping to hear from anyone who has used any of his major pieces. On his website he doesn't give any information as to what the pieces are made of other than "aluminum" or "Stainless steel". It's a good price to see if I wouldn't mind full metal legs. Although there are some very good armorers ...

Thinking of heavy aluminum. Thoughts?

I'm wanting to get some more leg armor in addition to my splinted padded chausses and was thinking I'd like to try Bokalo's full legs in heavy aluminum. I'm wanting low weight fairly inexpensively and have been wearing a set of his arms for years and love them. My former squire, who made my nice clo...

No comments about Sport of Kings????

I'm shocked. Sport of Kings was one of the most enjoyable and awe-inspiring events I've attended in my nearly three decades in this game. They also have an embroidered option but I'm now in a rush.

Re: Armor Bags?

Thanks. :-)
Going to hit the A/N stores tomorrow. Alejandro's side zipped duffle fit his armor
and my shield without being unduly bulky. If I can't find that I'll probably go with making
a carrybag. I need a new one anyway. The one I have is far too bulky and the zipper broke.

Thanks Payn, I'll check the Cabella's around here. Sir Alejandro has a big side zippered military canvas duffel that we tested and can fit even the shield, sword and gear. Re: Armor Bags?

The problem is that we are going to be exploring Portland for a couple of days as well and I really don't want to worry about armor. I may get a larger bag that holds everything and some locking straps and just strap it into as compact a bundle as possible.

Armor Bags?

I have an old, overlarge side-zipped duffel bag I use to carry my armor in. What I like about it is that it can hold all my armor and my shield. But it is a bit too big and bulky. In a couple of weeks I'll be flying in to Portland to attend Sport of Kings and was thinking of shipping my armor up ahe...

In August, if you aren't going to Pennsic, you really need to check out Sport of Kings in An Tir. Some major top notch fighting instruction. I love watching the Finals of any tournament with such joy on the part of both contenders. Far too often the Finals are filled with attitude, sometimes anger and determination that the other guy CANNOT win. I've seen you win, Sir Miles, and you showed nothing but honor and respect to your opponent. ...
