He had some kind of computer failure recently too. He posted on his FB page that he lost all of the email stuff on orders. He has a computer back online now.

Re: Madu blow up?

Weapons under 48” (1.22 m) or greater than 7’ 6” (2.29 m) in length may have either a thrusting tip or a butt spike, but not both at the same time. The madu was not a weapon of individual combat during the SCA’s period of study, and therefore it is excluded from SCA Armored Combat.

This was a recent house hold event during the 9ft spear tourney. The platforms were on top of concrete balls so they rocked, very fun.

I will be interested in the story. It appears they are telling the saga of Ragnar, so it will be neat to see how they tell it.

windrose and hessen are both out of the ones I like....go figure. windrose does have pewter but I don't know how that will stand up to heavy combat. I really like these but 110 for hilt and 140 for pommel, a wee bit out of my price range. http://www.windrosearmoury.com/zc/images/sword_images/shfv.jp...

It seems less about helping a friend get his gear together, more an electronic po...

I have to question your reading comprehension. This thread contains no apology. No one can find it on Facebook. Just sayin. I went back and looked, Torvaldr specifically mentioned he apologized twice in this string. In my book that counts, so maybe it is your abilities or lack there of to comprehen...

we always set up and dry our tent and ropes before storing. We do a lot of camping out here so during the summer it is not uncommon for us to camp almost every weekend during the summer. I think the real killer is the wind and how it goes from wet to extreme dry. It seems that every time we had issu...

Re: Tent Ropes from Knot Period Rope Works

Nice work. I did that too, but decided it was just easier to deal with synthetic. Hemp rope works great for those that live in areas that do not get a lot of rain / wet weather. For those of us that have to deal with the wet, well, they rot to fast. We had to replace ropes every year, it just got ol...
