Weapons under 48” (1.22 m) or greater than 7’ 6” (2.29 m) in length may have either a thrusting tip or a butt spike, but not both at the same time. The madu was not a weapon of individual combat during the SCA’s period of study, and therefore it is excluded from SCA Armored Combat.

windrose and hessen are both out of the ones I like....go figure. windrose does have pewter but I don't know how that will stand up to heavy combat. Want to get away from the basket hilt and would like to go with a more period looking sword. I have not found any nice hilts or pommels for rattan. Does anyone know where to get these? Thanks.

I think they have forgotten that we had at one point floating Baronies. The Navy investigated the SCA and veted the activity as OK on board ships. I used to fight underway. Sounds like a buch of BS to me.
